Job Description

Tri State Distributors has an immediate opening for a dependable full-time Office Coordinator for our branch in Wetumpka, AL .The Office Coordinator plays an important role in supporting daily office operations and creating a professional, welcoming experience for customers, visitors, and employees. Established in 1983, Tri State Distributors has expanded to cover the southeastern United States as one of the leading suppliers serving the LP gas, HVAC and Manufactured Housing industries. The company takes pride in maintaining traditional values of fair, dependable and courteous service to all their valued customers. Each branch location is a free-standing profit center within the multi-branch company. Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Primary responsibilities include but not limited: Manage a national multi-line phone system by identifying caller needs, directing calls to the appropriate department or team member, and taking accurate messages when needed Provide callers with general company information, including addresses, directions, and other requested information Greet and assist visitors, determine the purpose of their visit, notify the appropriate personnel, and monitor visitor access Support incoming and outgoing fax communications and route documents to the appropriate individuals or departments Order, receive, organize, and maintain office supplies Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets and distribute them to branches and customers as needed Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail for daily delivery Retrieve mail from the local post office when necessary Prepare and type memos, correspondence, reports, and other business documents as needed Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and document organization Maintain accurate, organized records and paperwork Assist with additional administrative tasks and office projects as assigned

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous administrative, office, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred Strong work ethic with a dependable and positive attitude Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Professional and courteous phone etiquette Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based applications Accurate data entry skills Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks throughout the workday Ability to maintain organized and accurate paperwork and records Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team EOE M/F/V/D
