This role performs a variety of business support activities, including new hire training, providing backup support for all department duties, serving as a backup resource for pricing activities, preparing and distributing correspondence, maintaining records and reports, performing data entry, assisting with route settlement activities, and responding to internal and external customer inquiries. The Business Support Specialist will work collaboratively across departments to support daily operations, ensure accurate recordkeeping, and help meet business objectives and deadlines. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Meadow Gold Dairy is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a dairy marketing cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family farmers. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent 1 to 3 years' office, administrative, or related experience
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist department and/or office staff, performing any combination of clerical duties including answering phones, filing, route settlement, sorting, receiving, classifying, reconciling and summarizing documents and information New hire training and cross-functional support Schedule and organize onsite, off-site, or virtual meetings; prepare materials for meetings Assist or perform basic accounting or bookkeeping activities, including route settlement Track, file, collect, summarize, or organize information Maintain various records, spreadsheets, logs, etc. Use software applications and other standard office equipment for recording, storing, retrieving, and compiling information Compile and generate regular and special reports using established formats and procedures The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Requirements:
