Salary Range:

$25.21- $31.96 per hour (Per Contract)

TITLE:

Executive Secretary

JOB GOAL

Performs secretarial/accounting, administrative work of a complex, confidential and responsible nature. This position will usually exist in offices with one or two office workers and serves as the main secretarial position to the administrator.

REPORTS TO

Principal or Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's Degree Preferred Proven office experience highly desirable

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves in many instances as the point of initial contact with Board members, staff and the public. Relieves the administrator of administrative details and takes appropriate action on routine matters. Completes routine/cyclical matters without direction. Supervises and maintains a professional work flow. Prioritizes work Possesses an excellent knowledge of grammatical skills and the English language Organizes and supervises others, including Secretaries Operates personal computer at advanced skills level, including word processing, presentation, spread sheets, data entry and electronic mail. Creates/maintains/teaches computer procedures/programs. Possesses working knowledge of current Board policies and laws relevant to the individual's department. Prepares and presents information at meetings. Communicates with vendors for problem resolutions. Possesses knowledge of bookkeeping procedures/programs Maintains various account journals and prepares information for transfer and entry into automated account systems. Performs double entry bookkeeping procedures, maintains account balances and reconciles bank statements. Maintains substantial financial records of budgetary transactions. Performs all functions expected of an Assistant Secretary, Secretary Assumes such other functions as may be determined.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Seven hours per day, twelve-month year. Salary and work year per contract with Local 2727.
