AFSCME, AFL-CIO Part-Time FTE:
0.5 3.75 hrs per day/260 Days per year
SUMMARY:
To perform a wide variety of clerical/secretarial and administrative tasks related to specific academic or administrative functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.
  • Oversee and carry out various day-to-day administrative functions.
  • Perform regular secretarial duties: answer phones and serve as receptionist, type/print using word processor all manner of correspondence, maintain appointment calendars, screen incoming mail, set up meetings and photocopy.
  • Coordinate, initiate, prepare, process, and/or monitor various administrative forms, records, reports, schedules, and other documents, ensuring timely and accurate completion of documents.
  • Organize and maintain various files and student records, frequently involving cross-filing/cross-reference systems.
  • Perform a variety of tasks related to Administrative Plus and SEMSNET software.
  • Prepare/coordinate bulk or other special departmental mailings.
  • Perform basic liaison functions with students, faculty, staff, parents, or other department/program constituency.
  • Perform other specialized or technical administrative tasks related to the school.
  • Confer regularly with immediate administrator.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
