Responsibilities 1. Opens, sorts, screens, records, and distributes mail in a timely manner

2. Monitors and orders supplies to maintain inventory at appropriate levels to ensure availability of necessary materials without over-stocking

Therapy supplies

Food for speech therapy

3. Performs other related general office duties as requested

4. Maintains department calendar, schedules meetings and appointments for Rehabilitation Team

5. Acts as receptionist for clinicians/department

6. In collaboration with Manager, acts as a liaison between Ahlbin Rehabilitation Center outpatient department, Access department and Patient Resource Center

7. Assists with urgent and complex scheduling needs

8. Serves as point of contact for scheduling Physical Demand Screening with Occupational Health

9. Coordinates scheduling of Functional Capacity Evaluations

10. Assists in the management of therapist templates in EPIC

11. Coordinates maintenance of equipment and repairs internally and with offsite vendors as necessary and at the direction of Rehabilitation Leadership

12. Supports Patient Navigation

13. Serves as Patient Liaison, as requested by leadership, in the following areas:

Scheduling needs,

Transportation needs,

Service recovery,

Provides resources/contacts for other departments/services

14. Assists in the orientation, training and oversight of Rehabilitation Techs

15. Assists with orientation of volunteers assigned to department

16. Assists Manager and Supervisors as needed with projects

17. Runs reports in Epic and other applications as directed by Rehabilitation Leadership

18. Assists with regulatory readiness preparation

19. Maintains departmental record keeping and filing systems, including work and purchase orders

20. Processes invoices in established online platform, after approved by Director Qualifications

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

Previous work experience in health care and/or rehabilitation setting preferred

LICENSURE

Current BLS/CPR certification

SPECIAL SKILLS

Ability to work independently

Consistent and reliable communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Demonstrates high level of proficiency with computer skills/technology ' inclusive of Microsoft Office programs

PHYSICAL DEMAND

The worker must be able to stand, walk, talk hear, lift, push, pull, reach, stoop, kneel, climb and perform repetitive motions of the wrist, fingers or hands. The worker is subject to inside environmental /atmospheric conditions such as poor ventilation and is also subject to hazards such as exposure to chemicals. The worker must be able to operate various exercise equipment, whirlpools, ultrasound and electrical stimulation equipment. Must be able to exert up to 100lbs. of force occasionally, and or/ up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects or the human body with assistance as necessary. Incumbents as well as internal applicants who become disabled must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without the assistance of reasonable accommodation as determined on a case by case basis.
