THE SCHOOL BOARD OF HIGHLANDS COUNTY
POSITION TITLE:
Secretary
ASSIGNMENT
Secretary 3

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent Three (3) years experience in a clerical, secretarial or administrative assistant position
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform essential functions and tasks which may include exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds of force as frequently as necessary; lifting, crawling, kneeling, bending, stooping, pulling, and pushing, if required Satisfactory clearance of a criminal history records check and drug screening
ADDITIONAL DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated skill in using office equipment (i.e., copiers, phones, calculators, computers, FAX machines). Basic knowledge of appropriate office practices and procedures.
PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Secretary to Guidance Counselors. Greets incoming public, teachers, and students in guidance office. Answers incoming calls. Assists with student registration. Schedules parent/teacher conferences. Backup for Front Desk Secretary. Backup for Data Operator. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Principal and Assistant Principal.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Performs all other duties as assigned by the Administrator
TERM:
Length of contract and number of hours worked are determined by specific allocation as approved annually during planning-budgeting process
APPRAISAL
Performance will be appraised annually in accordance with School Board policies
PAYGRADE
According to the School Board of Highlands County Non-instructional Salary Schedule
