Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Clerical Support Specialist for a temporary election-cycle assignment supporting Voter Services in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented administrative professional who enjoys records review, data entry, quality assurance, document processing, and working in a structured, high-volume office environment. This opportunity offers meaningful work in a public-service setting where accuracy, confidentiality, and dependable support are essential. Candidates will be part of a professional team focused on maintaining accurate records and supporting critical election-cycle operations. The environment is business casual, team-oriented, and supported by clear procedures, established quality standards, and leadership guidance. Key Responsibilities
  • Review records, documents, and data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Perform accurate data entry, clerical processing, records updates, and document review.
  • Verify, reconcile, and validate information using agency systems and established work instructions.
  • Identify discrepancies, document findings, and escalate items for supervisory review or correction.
  • Organize documents, maintain files, and support records management activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling voter information, official records, and sensitive data. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay:
    $20.00 per hour.
  • Assignment type: Temporary contract assignment.
  • Assignment duration: Through November 9, 2026.
  • Location:
    Fort Lauderdale, FL.
  • Schedule:
    Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Extended schedule: Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on election-cycle operational needs. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Review high volumes of voter service records, documents, and data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform clerical processing, data entry, records validation, and quality assurance support.
  • Identify discrepancies, document issues, and support timely correction of records.
  • Maintain organized files and follow established procedures in a deadline-driven office environment.
  • Must be available to work continuously from the HR-scheduled start date through November 9, 2026, without planned interruptions.
  • Must be available to work extended hours and extended workdays, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as operationally required during the election cycle.
  • Must type at least 50 WPM.
  • Intermediate computer skills required, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, web-based applications, and data entry.
  • Experience in clerical support, administrative support, records review, quality assurance, document processing, or data entry required.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
  • Must be professional, dependable, punctual, and able to maintain regular attendance.
  • Must be comfortable working in a business casual office environment.
  • Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must successfully complete and clear the required criminal background screening and drug screening before beginning the assignment. Preferred Qualifications
  • Clerical support or administrative office experience.
  • Quality assurance, auditing, or records review experience.
  • Records management or document review experience.
  • Elections, government, public-sector, or nonprofit office experience.
  • Experience reviewing large volumes of records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
