Job Description

Job Overview Shade & Light, Inc., a family-owned window covering manufacturer serving Florida since 1988, is seeking a dependable, organized, friendly, and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting various departments including sales, ordering, showroom operations, and customer service. The ideal candidate will act as a reliable second set of hands in the office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent client communication. The position offers consistent hours Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing a stable and friendly work environment. Responsibilities Greet customers and dealers as they enter the showroom, providing friendly and professional assistance. Manage client communication effectively, ensuring inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally. Handle phone communication, screening calls and directing them appropriately. Maintain organized spreadsheets to support sales and ordering processes. Support the office team with general administrative tasks to facilitate daily operations. Assist with order processing and follow-up to ensure timely delivery. Utilize Microsoft Office applications to prepare documents, reports, and correspondence. Support showroom activities by maintaining a welcoming environment for visitors and clients. Experience Prior office experience is preferred but not mandatory; we value organizational skills and a proactive attitude. Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication skills for client interactions via phone and in person. Ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets and basic computer skills to support administrative functions. Dependability, friendliness, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy office setting are essential qualities for success in this role.
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 22.0 per week
