We represent individuals, families, and businesses in a broad range of U.S. immigration matters, including cases before the immigration courts and federal agencies. Every member of the firm plays an important role in helping clients navigate a complex legal system with clarity and respect. Position Summary Quijano Law is seeking a bilingual Administrative Assistant to provide client-facing and administrative support to our attorneys and staff. This is an important position within the firm. The Administrative Assistant is often the first person a client speaks with and helps ensure that calls, appointments, correspondence, records, and daily office needs are handled professionally and without unnecessary delay. The position requires clear communication, sound judgment, careful organization, and consistent follow-through. Professional fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish is required. Core Responsibilities Answer incoming calls and communicate professionally with clients in English and Spanish. Schedule appointments and maintain accurate calendars. Draft and format routine letters, memoranda, reports, and other correspondence. Translate routine correspondence and communications between English and Spanish. Process incoming and outgoing mail and maintain organized electronic and paper records. Communicate with courts, detention centers, and government agencies as directed. Assist attorneys and staff with administrative requests and daily office operations. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Professional fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish, including the ability to produce clear, accurate professional correspondence in both languages. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, establish priorities, and complete assigned work accurately and promptly. Sound judgment and the ability to recognize when a question or issue requires additional guidance. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and basic computing. Ability to work full time in person at our Norcross or Gainesville office. Professional demeanor and presentation appropriate for a client-facing law office. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of professional office experience. Prior experience in a law firm, professional-services firm, or other client-facing office environment. Experience handling business correspondence, scheduling, document organization, and confidential information. Experience communicating with courts, government agencies, or similar institutions. Professional Expectations The successful candidate will be dependable, organized, attentive to detail, and professional in interactions with clients and colleagues. This position requires accurate recordkeeping, discretion, timely follow-through, and the ability to handle routine responsibilities without constant direction. We are seeking someone who takes responsibility for assigned work, communicates clearly, and contributes to an orderly and professional office. Compensation and Benefits Salary of $44,000 to $52,000 , based on directly relevant experience. Paid holidays and paid time off that increases with tenure. Employer-matched retirement plan.
