This vital role involves managing daily office operations, providing exceptional customer service to congregation members and visitors, and ensuring smooth communication across all church departments. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent organizational skills to support the church's mission and activities. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a vibrant faith community while honing your administrative expertise.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Maintenance and organization of the church office area. Ordering and maintenance of office supplies. Maintain church calendars. Pick up, distribute and disseminate all mail and correspondence. Screen and route incoming calls. Answer mail including correspondence, voice mail, etc. Check emails and respond in a timely manner. Assist with coordinating weddings, baptisms, and building use as made aware of the events. Maintain church database which includes reporting membership changes. Prepare certificates for church programs as requested (baptism, confirmation, etc.) Print and distribute Annual Report once information has been provided. Maintain church files and documentation. Notify all Pastoral Staff of member hospitalizations, deaths, etc. as they are reported to the church office. Prepare, proof, print and make weekly bulletins available. Keep electronic copies of all submitted committee meeting minutes. Prepare and produce any mailings or electronic communications. Communicate information to church members on an as needed basis (typically via email). Assist in preparing and maintaining an Office Procedures Reference Manual. Maintain church mailing lists and email lists and keep them updated and current. Maintain, coordinate and communicate with worship participants and volunteers. Respectful and cooperative with all church staff, members, and visitors. Evaluation after a 90-day probationary period after newly hired and an employee evaluation annually.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Excellent writing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office With training, become proficient in the use of church management software, publisher (or canva) Ability to maintain confidentiality.

From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
