Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Department of Juvenile Justice Location 4001 Fort Campbell Boulevard Hopkinsville, KY 42240 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice is a multi-faceted agency that serves juveniles of the Commonwealth. While striving to hold youth accountable for their actions, the Department creates opportunities for sentenced, committed, probated, or detained youth to develop social and career skills that will equip them for re-entry into their communities as productive and responsible citizens. The Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) seeks to serve youth in the least restrictive, appropriate placement possible. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides professional administrative support to facility staff in the review, evaluation, development and implementation of the agency's activities. Compiles and maintains reports. Interprets and applies procedures. Participates in management team meetings. Serves as facility timekeeper by preparing and maintaining all time and attendance records for time entry. Responds to verbal and written inquiries from facility staff and the general public. Opens and sorts incoming mail and distributes to appropriate staff. Prepares release packets for youth. Coordinates youth graduation activities upon completing treatment phase. Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience. Substitute
