Blue High School Job Goal(s): To assure the smooth and efficient daily operation of the main office. Represent the school through positive interactions with students, staff, parents and community members. Provide administrative assistance to the MBHS athletic director. The secretary is the initial contact between the public and the school. They must be adept at meeting people and be extremely tactful in all dealings with the public. The main office secretary is a public relations agent for the school, both as a receptionist and as the custodian of the school records in which parents and school personnel are vitally interested. The secretary deals often with sensitive or confidential information, and as such, must be a person of complete integrity and maintain confidentiality at all times. Priorities for the work will be under the direction of and determined by the Principal. Qualifications Receptionist and telephone skills Typing, bookkeeping, filing, and computer skills, as necessary for the position Basic knowledge of office machines Certifications Maine DOE Certification CHRC
  • Valid background check Performance Responsibilities Greets students, staff, parents and community members to the school.
Serves as point person for communication for the school. Fields general questions and inquiries. Maintains records as required. Develops a variety of materials, such as letters, student records, reports, memo, monthly statements, etc., from rough drafts or corrected copy. Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive and smoothly-run office. Receives and routes incoming calls. Provides administrative support to the athletic director. Performs any other tasks which may justly be classified as secretarial or clerical as determined by the principal. Education Minimum education
  • High School Diploma Experience 2 years experience prefered Working Schedule 200
  • 220 days Secondary School Schedule Travel Requirements Travel between schools or district buildings may be required for certain positions

MBHS Administration Salary Range:
Track 6: $21.56
  • $25.
45 ( Final rate is determined by candidate qualifications, relevant experience, and skills.)
Support Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement Terms of Employment:
As determined annually by the District.
Evaluation:
Completed annually by designated Administrator.
