LTS Administrative Assistant

Job Description

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of Albany Area Secondary School. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of administrative tasks while providing exceptional service to students, staff, and parents. This full-time position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to school leadership and staff, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing correspondence.
  • Assist with student enrollment processes, maintain student records, and ensure compliance with school policies and regulations.
  • Manage communication with parents, students, and community members, addressing inquiries and providing information as needed.
  • Coordinate and organize school events, meetings, and activities, including logistics and materials preparation.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and assist with budget tracking and financial reporting as required.
  • Support the implementation of school policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to administrative protocols.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to facilitate a positive school environment and promote effective communication.
  • Utilize technology and software applications to streamline administrative processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Organize substitute teachers and fill teacher vacancies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership to support the overall mission of the school. Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Must pass a background check and comply with all school district requirements.
