This position provides front-line customer service and administrative support across the department, with a primary focus on Arts and Culture, resident communications, records management, transactions, reporting, and public information. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for the public; supporting the Arts and Culture Commission and related events; processing permits and payments; preparing reports and public-facing materials; maintaining department records and website content; providing general administrative, office, and document support; and attending one evening meeting per month.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of progressively responsible office administration and customer service experience
- Proficiency with standard office software and administrative procedures Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a municipal or other public-sector environment
- Experience with records management, document retention, or related administrative systems
- Eligibility for or possession of a Minnesota Notary Public commission This role will require a monthly meeting and occasional assistance with City events.
