Duties may include but are not limited to: Greeting all incoming patients in a professional, friendly manner via telephone or in person Ensuring patient information is complete and accurate, updating patient profiles, and scanning required documents into patient electronic charts Collecting co-payments and outstanding balances Meeting quality and productivity standards as set by the Practice Manager Monitoring and replying to patient emails and voicemails in a timely and efficient manner Abiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information Any other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Practice Manager
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate must also: Communicate with patients, visitors, and co-workers with courtesy and respect Display a professional, outgoing, caring, and helpful attitude Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities, while maintaining confidentiality Be familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word. Plan, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks as delegated by the Practice Manager Assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manner Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers through the telephone, email, and in-person A year of medical front office experience is preferred Summary As a Front Office Assistant, you will be essential in delivering outstanding patient service in our front desk. Reporting to the Office Manager, your core skills in medical administrative support and clerical experience will ensure efficient handling of medical records and patient inquiries. Your proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel will aid in maintaining organized documentation. With premium skills in EHR systems and knowledge of medical terminology, you will contribute to a seamless patient experience while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
