Administrative Assistant Buffalo Green Grand Island, NY Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Crew management Delegation Full Job Description We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Landscaping & Maintenance Foreman to lead our crew and help keep our properties looking their best. This is not a position for someone who simply assigns tasks and watches from the sidelines. Our Foreman works alongside the crew, keeps projects moving, recognizes what needs attention, and takes the initiative to solve problems without waiting for direction. The right candidate will be dependable, organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced outdoor environment. What You'll Do Lead and work alongside landscaping and maintenance crews on daily projects and property upkeep. Organize daily workloads, assign responsibilities, and make sure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Perform and oversee lawn mowing, trimming, edging, planting, pruning, cleanup, and general grounds maintenance. Lead hardscape projects such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor improvements. Identify maintenance issues or problems on-site and take the initiative to correct them. Operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools, power equipment, and company vehicles. Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on landscaping equipment and tools. Monitor the quality of completed work and address issues before leaving a job site. Coordinate with management, clients, and crew members regarding schedules, priorities, materials, and project needs. Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites. Ensure crew members follow company procedures and proper safety practices. What We're Looking For Previous experience in landscaping, property maintenance, groundskeeping, or a related field. Prior experience supervising or leading a landscaping or maintenance crew. Strong knowledge of lawn care, planting, pruning, general property maintenance, and outdoor projects. Hardscaping or construction experience is strongly preferred. Mechanical ability and experience maintaining or troubleshooting landscaping equipment. Ability to recognize problems and determine solutions without needing constant direction. Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold a crew accountable while working as part of the team. Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and keep projects on schedule. Comfortable performing physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehicles. The Person Who Will Succeed in This Role You take ownership of your work. You don't need someone to point out every problem or tell you what needs to happen next. You can look at a property or project, recognize what needs attention, develop a plan, and get your crew moving in the right direction. We're looking for someone who takes pride in a job well done and can be counted on to lead by example.
