Non-Exempt, Hourly GENERAL PURPOSEThe purpose of this job is to support the daily operations and growth of the Ed.

D. and SBL/SDL certification programs by working closely with the Ed.

D. Program Coordinator, the Ed.

D. Program Director and the SBL/SDL Program Director. The Administrative Assistant will assist with day-to-day administrative operations resolving procedural issues and providing support for both current and prospective students and faculty in the program. The Administrative Assistant works directly with the Molloy community members to support and/or resolve routine issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support recruitment and registration of SBL/SDL students. Communicate regularly with prospective and incoming students to answer questions and help solve problems related to admission and registration, and communicate with SBL/SDL administration, staff, and other internal and external constituencies related to program recruitment.

Serves as a point of contact in the EdD program for both internal and external constituents (i.e., students, visitors, faculty) and resolves both routine and more complex issues with a fair amount of latitude. Communicates with students responding to questions, issues, and provides ongoing communication regarding classes, events, workshops etc.

Prepares correspondence and documents, processes payments and reimbursements, assist with maintenance of EdD student files and databases within office guidelines including all dissertation related records. Coordinates meetings, shares documents and assists with a variety of general office duties.

Assists with planning and coordination of student dissertation defenses (in person and virtual) including: announcements and scheduling, room reservation, etc Maintains dissertation related student forms. Assists with student ETD/Proquest submissions.

Assists with preparation, scheduling, and support for all Ed.

D. events including orientations, workshops, conferences, meetings, summer institutes, etc. Maintains program calendar. Assists with maintenance of social media accounts and Ed.

D. Program webpages as needed.

Provides support for Ed.

D. faculty (i.e., class material preparation, conference presentation preparation, supply and book requests, etc.) and maintains a good working relationship with interdepartmental offices and outside organizations. Coordinates use of subscription services for EdD students and faculty.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED1 to 3 years of work related experience Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (Knowledge in the field of Education) Jenzabar

SALARY INFORMATIONWhen determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $23.00. This hourly rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
