a collaborative and compassionate team culture. The Secretary is responsible for a variety of administrative, telecommunication, and clerical duties necessary to run a KidsPeace program, service, or department.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate (or equivalent) with training in basic office skills OR High School Graduate (or equivalent) with 2 years of relevant employment in an office environment. Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills. Must have the ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, flexible hours, and overtime as required.
JOB DUTIES
Provide computer services such as word-processing, spreadsheets, information systems, and database management by utilizing current proprietary software applications. Perform telecommunication tasks such as answering phones, connecting callers, scheduling appointments, maintaining phone lists, and other forms of verbal or written communication connected with the telephone system as specific programs and services require. Perform and coordinate the office's administrative activities to relieve program or department officials of clerical work, daily minor administrative tasks, and business details; such as, but not limited to, the opening and closing of client files, filing client documentation by following KidsPeace filing standards/outline; tracking, preparing, and distributing petty cash; and ordering office supplies as specific programs and services require. Serve as the program or department clearinghouse by organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, operating and maintaining office equipment; preparing, sorting, and distributing US and interoffice mail; receiving and tracking parcels and packages; and greeting visitors, as specific programs and services require. Transcribe spoken words and/or handwritten reports in order to document client treatment and care, utilizing transcribing equipment. Record, proofread, edit, and store specialized documents by using standardized procedures as specific programs and services require. Cover for absence and/or assist other staff members. This may require travel to other facilities, as specific programs and services require. Manage inventory of supplies and order as needed. Oversee maintenance of IT equipment if required. Schedule Monday through Friday 8AM-4PM Compensation $14.00 hourly
