Job Description

Summary Minnich's offers a dynamic, fast-paced setting. This position is part of a team focus that assists the Community Pharmacy team in direct customer service. The clerk is responsible for the duties and responsibilities outlined below. Our team is an integral part of the community. In addition to general prescription distribution there will be opportunities to be involved in community health and wellness programs. Essential functions Provide high quality customer service Greet customers when entering and leaving the store Computer literacy

  • able to run the point of sales system Basic understanding of the pharmacy software system—able to look up and interpret prescription status Organized and able to multitask Attention to detail Answers the phone Manage transactions with customers using the point of sales system Collect payment
  • cash, credit card, check and house charge Issues receipts, refunds, and change Redeems coupons and store gift cards Cross sells products and introduces new ones Keep the checkout area tidy and sanitary Assist in restocking shelves Answer customer questions and resolves complaints Handle merchandise returns and exchanges Compliant with Fraud, waste and abuse and HIPAA rules and regulations Completes down-time functions during non-busy hours Assists in maintaining cleanliness of whole pharmacy and common areas Assists in community events through planning, participation or promoting Completes any additional tasks assigned by supervisor Competencies Strong communication•proactive listener and effective speaker Strong customer service skills.

Actively searches for ways to assist people Excellent interpersonal skills Good decision making and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task Effective time management Basic pharmacy technician skills Basic math skills Work environment This position is located in the pharmacy building. Reside within the continental United States Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Workdays are Monday through Friday 2PM to 8PM Physical Demands Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. Able to stand for long periods of time Occasionally move office productivity boxes and inventory up to 30 pounds for various needs. Assist in building durable medical equipment Required qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age Currently enrolled in High School or hold a High School diploma or equivalent Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook Able to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen
