Charleston, SC Position Summary RTD Biosciences is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and energetic Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day administrative and operational needs of our growing organization. The Administrative Assistant will serve as a key support resource for leadership, HR, manufacturing, and other departments, helping keep the organization organized, responsive, and running smoothly. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and willing to jump in wherever needed. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and problem solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and understands the importance of confidentiality, professionalism, and follow-through. Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative & Office Support
Provide day-to-day administrative support to leadership and operational teams.
Manage calendars, meetings, appointments, and internal scheduling as needed.
Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and correspondence.
Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
Order and maintain office supplies and general administrative materials.
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct communications appropriately.
Assist with meeting preparation, agendas, notes, and follow-up items.
Coordinate visitors, vendors, deliveries, and general office needs.
Support company events, employee meetings, training sessions, and other organizational activities. Manufacturing & Operations Support
Provide administrative support to manufacturing and operations leadership.
Assist with production schedules, meetings, reports, and operational documentation.
Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, logs, trackers, and other operational records.
Assist with purchasing, supply orders, invoices, and vendor communications.
Track office, production, and facility-related supplies as needed.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Assist with maintaining organized records related to equipment, facilities, maintenance, and operational activities.
Support special projects and process-improvement initiatives. Document & Data Management
Enter, update, and maintain accurate information in company systems and spreadsheets.
Ensure documents are properly organized, labeled, and readily accessible.
Assist with document control and maintaining current versions of company forms and administrative documents.
Prepare routine reports and assist with data collection and organization.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company, employee, financial, and operational information. General Support
Serve as a helpful and professional point of contact for employees, vendors, and visitors.
Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Proactively identify administrative needs and recommend improvements.
Step in to support other departments when business needs require it.
Perform other duties consistent with the scope of the position. QualificationsRequired
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of administrative, office, operations, or related experience.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook .
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing, laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or other regulated environment.
Experience with an HRIS, payroll, ERP, or other business management system.
Experience with purchasing, invoicing, vendor management, or operational administration.
Experience maintaining confidential employee or business records.
Familiarity with document control and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Experience supporting a growing or startup organization. Core Competencies
