Job Description

Summit County, Utah, is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to provide support at our Senior Centers. This position plays an important role in serving our senior community by assisting visitors and callers with accurate, helpful information in a friendly and professional manner. The successful candidate will perform a variety of routine clerical and administrative duties while assisting with daily office functions to ensure smooth operations of the centers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-service focus are a must. Summit County is a family-friendly organization that values respect, service, and community. SALARY :
$21.00/hr.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or equivalent. One (1) year of responsible experience in secretarial duties, word processing or related field.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
General Duties:
Acts as receptionist; answers phones and routes calls; provides general information and responds to general questions related to senior functions, or directs individuals to the appropriate department. Operates computer and printer; inputs and retrieves data; compiles reports and maintains various computerized records and documents. Takes and transcribes minutes of senior board meetings. Management of and accounting for funds received for Senior Citizen Services including grant reporting. This includes reporting to Mountainland Association of Governments to maintain inventory and proper documentation in relation to the Ensure and Congregate Meal program, as well as other federal programs. Keeping accurate lunch reservation sheet and maintain open communication with the senior center cook regarding the meal programs. Assists in set up and breakdown of tables and chairs as required for senior functions. Performs related duties as required.
