Administrative Support Specialist (1214) (Full-Time)

We are offering a great opportunity for a full-time Administrative Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing administrative support which requires understanding of processes, data, and/or operations of the department.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).

Minimum one (1) year position related experience in mental health and/or medical setting administrative support.

Minimum one (1) year data entry and computer systems or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.

Valid VA drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred

Three (3) years of data entry and computer systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent customer service and professionalism.

Strong verbal and written communication with proper use of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload.

Knowledge of office practices and procedures.

Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and use of computer applications to include Microsoft Office.

Must be able to work independently with supervision, and complete assignments.

Ability to exercise sound judgment.

Has advanced understanding of processes, data, and/or operations of the department.

Special work conditions

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds (ex: supplies for meetings, etc).Work requires sitting, standing, typing, and home/community visits. May require evenings/weekends when needed to address board/agency functions. Travel throughout the catchment area as needed.

Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.

Annual Salary Range

Grade S-N1

$45,417.00 - $51,094.00
