Operations Coordinator Immanuel Presbyterian Church Tacoma Tacoma, WA Job Details Part-time $50,000 - $55,000 a year 2 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off Flexible schedule Retirement plan Qualifications Office supply management Website management Teamwork Executive administrative support Research Attention to detail Calendar management Organizational skills Content management Adobe Acrobat Layout design Full Job Description Job Overview The Operations Coordinator at Immanuel Presbyterian Church (IPC) is a pivotal role that provides operations coordination/management, and communication services for the congregation and our church community in Tacoma, WA. We are looking for a caring, thoughtful, and energetic person to serve as the main administrative and operational support for the pastor, church leadership, church committees and the church building & tenants. This position operates under limited supervision and requires significant independent judgement and discretion, under the general direction of the pastor (supervisor). Work is in-person 30-32 hours each week, either Monday to Friday or Monday - Thursday (negotiable) and includes paid time off, holidays & sick days, and annual retirement contribution. Some weekend and evening work may be required, from time to time.
Responsibilities Office Management:
Coordination and management of IT services, office and church equipment/systems, and insurance Procurement and tracking of all office and church supplies Management of mailings and other correspondence Management/payment of invoices/bills in close coordination with the bookkeeper Phone, email, and in-person response to questions and administrative requests Reporting required by Presbytery and national church denomination Administrative support to pastor, church council members, and other church committees/programs Document and records management
Communications:
Design and publication of Sunday bulletin and newsletters, as well as promotional materials Digital marketing of events Creation and management of social media content and website Marketing of facility usage opportunities
Facilities and Maintenance:
Tenant management and communication Management of facility usage and calendar Coordination of assigned facilities projects, including ongoing maintenance and contractors/vendors Management of safety and security of church buildings Organization of storage Skills Knowledge of, and skill in using, standard office productivity applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, Canva, database programs, and other software applications, virtual systems, and office equipment Adept at maintaining a positive, collaborative, and flexible approach to performing work duties Adept at working independently and as part of a team Skilled in creating print material through page layout/desktop publishing software Skilled in creating social media content Skilled in managing and creating website content Highly proficient in troubleshooting equipment and software, escalating where necessary Highly proficient in researching and analyzing information to make recommendations Shows strong attention to detail, accuracy, and proof-reading skills Proficiency in records and document management Skilled in interpreting, applying, and explaining regulations, policies, and procedures Basic knowledge of budgets, purchasing, and contracts Applies basic project management skills to work performed Uses proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation in written documents Writes in a clear, concise, and organized manner for the intended audience Applies basic math skills to work performed Skilled in maintaining sensitive and confidential data and using discretion when sharing information Skilled in interpersonal communication
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
