Primary Responsibilities Complete and maintain prior authorizations for needed procedures for the dental department. Create, maintain and complete dental referrals in the electronic health record. Ensure referrals are completed with appropriate visit documentation scanned into the EHR. Per referral guidelines, provide appropriate clinical information to outside facilities & specialists. Track referral progress to promote team awareness and ensure patient safety. Complete dental releases of information (ROIs). Serve as backup for front desk coverage for all dental sites. Secondary Responsibilities Assist in special projects. Actively participate in staff meetings and in-services. Participate in continuing education and professional growth. Adhere to the standards and policies of the organization. Assure efficiency in communications and adherence to organization workflows. Responsible for personal compliance with LSCHC policies and procedures Other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications:
High School diploma Computer experience, preferably Microsoft office and software Familiarity with general office equipment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
