Job Summary The Business Department is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented student employee to provide administrative and project support. Responsibilities include data entry, document management, and general office support, along with spreadsheet and data organization, assisting with event and outreach coordination, and preparation of departmental materials. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on office and project experience while contributing directly to the operations of the Business Department. Reports To Education/Qualifications

0 or greater Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Maintain confidentiality regarding student files and personal information and adhere to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Basic proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) and general computer/office equipment and software. Strong, customer-friendly communication skills, including comfort greeting and assisting visitors in person and by phone. Ability to follow directions, rules, and guidelines, and to exercise good judgment with routine tasks.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements This position is based in a professional office environment with minimal physical requirements, including light lifting, document filing and shredding, and occasional standing or walking to assist with event setup, along with sitting at a desk for computer-based tasks. Responsibility/Duty Maintain and update department spreadsheets and data trackers (e.g., advising lists, event sign-ups, budget tracking) with accuracy and attention to detail. Assist with coordination of department events and outreach and advertising federal work-study participation across campus. Provide general office support, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff. Mentor new students drawing on at least one year of college experience to offer relatable guidance and support as peers navigate their college experience.
