Duties Enforce municipal codes and property standards through inspections, citations, and follow-up investigations Collect, document, and preserve physical evidence from crime scenes following proper evidence handling procedures Conduct forensic investigations utilizing techniques such as fingerprint comparison, forensic photography, and crime scene analysis Maintain detailed records of inspections, evidence logs, and investigation reports with clarity and precision Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Ability to pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records. Proven experience in law enforcement or code enforcement roles with a strong understanding of procedural law and legal standards Demonstrated expertise in forensic investigation techniques including fingerprint analysis, crime scene investigation methods, and forensic photography Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining integrity throughout investigations Previous experience in code enforcement, law enforcement, evidence/property management, inspections, or a related field.
