THE POSITION

Our Children & Youth Services office is hiring a Clerk Typist 2 to type and process documents, enter data, and perform other duties as assigned to support daily office functions. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position performs a variety of clerical tasks to support caseworkers and supervisors as they work protect children, facilitate community services, and empower families. As a Clerk Typist 2, you will perform the following duties:

Clerical Typing:

Prepare various letters, forms, and court documents related to services provided by the agency based on information form caseworkers and supervisors

Document Management:

Make any photocopies needed, scan and upload documents, and file case materials and correspondence

Data Entry:

Input medical, educational, and demographic information into recordkeeping systems, databases, charts, and spreadsheets and ensure it is recent and accurate

Form Processing:

Send required reports to law enforcement; complete forms for requesting county assistance office action, reporting adoption and foster care data, and HealthChoices enrollment

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework:

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or

Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or

Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
