Role Description The Temporary Office Assistant is an on-site role based in Middleburg, VA. This role supports daily office operations, including answering and directing phone calls, greeting visitors, and handling incoming and outgoing mail. The Temporary Office Assistant will manage basic clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and maintaining organized records. The role also involves assisting with invoicing, supporting tax and accounting staff with administrative needs, and using common office equipment to ensure the smooth functioning of the office. The position requires consistent professional communication with clients and colleagues while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all tasks. This is a temporary position needed in December 2026 through March (possibly April) 2027. Qualifications Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Experience with administrative assistance and clerical skills, including filing, data entry, and document handling. Ability to operate and troubleshoot standard office equipment such as printers, scanners, copiers, and multi-line phone systems. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and client information. Basic proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools, Apple OS, etc.); experience in an accounting or tax office is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or training in office administration is beneficial.
