Trains new PHs in effective unloading, loading, palletizing, carrying, smalls handling, SWAK, and non-conveyable package handling techniques.\nProvides training to other PHs who are in need of additional instruction on unloading, carrying, loading, palletizing, smalls handling, SWAK, or non-conveyable package handling techniques, as determined by management.\nProvides feedback on proper package handling techniques, as needed.\nReinforces among peer PHs all dock safety standards.\nUnderstands and demonstrates by example all necessary processes and procedures.\nUpdates managers on conditions during the sort so operation efficiency decisions can be made.\nAssists in the implementation of new package handling procedures and techniques.\nRegularly loads/unloads, palletizes, lifts, carries, pushes and pulls packages while training other PHs.\nUtilizes hand-to-surface methods for all package handling.\nLoads and unloads packages onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, pallets, conveyor system carts and load gratings.\nLifts, carries, pushes and pulls packages on a continuous and repetitive basis for approximate shift of 3-5 hours, with potential of working one or more shifts each day\nDetermines the appropriate conveyor system by scanning packages, reading labels and charts, verifying numbers and memorizing information and sorts packages accordingly.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.
