About New Mexico Military Institute:
The New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) is a state-supported, co- educational institution offering college preparatory education at the high school and junior college levels. With a student body of up to 1,000 cadets, NMMI provides a comprehensive academic experience complemented by Junior and Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs. The high school curriculum is fully accredited, preparing students for higher education. The junior college program facilitates cadet transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Additionally, NMMI houses the Intermediate Preparatory Academy (IPA) for grades 6-8.

Position:
Under the supervision of the Mailroom Supervisor, the Mailroom Clerk will assist in preparing outgoing mail and providing on-campus mail service by delivering and sending mail, packages, and other goods. This is a non- exempt, 12-month, part-time position with an hourly pay rate of $15.00. The job description is available upon request.
Tasks:
Essential Skills:
- Process Incoming Mail for Staff, Faculty, and Cadets.
- Knowledge of the U.S. Post Office rules, regulations, Receive incoming mail, packages, and boxes. Record policies, and procedures. packages and boxes that are too large for Mail Slots.
- Knowledge of the various freight delivery and package
Record Accountable/trackable mail. Notify cadets by mailing services.
