Veterinary Receptionist

Job Description

Job Overview We're looking for an energetic, outgoing, and customer‑service‑driven Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Spay & Neuter clinic. This role is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people, isn't afraid to take charge of a situation, and can keep the front desk running smoothly with confidence and warmth. You'll be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, so a bubbly personality, strong communication skills, and a natural ability to make people feel comfortable are essential. While veterinary knowledge is helpful, your ability to connect with clients and manage a busy reception area is what truly matters. Responsibilities Warmly greet clients and their pets, creating a friendly and positive first impression Answer phones with confidence, clarity, and a professional yet upbeat tone Schedule appointments, manage client records, and handle inquiries efficiently Take initiative in fast‑moving situations and keep the front desk organized Collect payments and process medical collections accurately Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well‑organized reception area Support veterinary staff with light animal‑care tasks when needed Communicate clearly with clients about procedures, follow‑up care, and clinic policies Skills A naturally outgoing, bubbly, and personable demeanor Confident, assertive communication — comfortable taking charge when needed Excellent phone presence and customer‑service instincts Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment Compassion for animals and the people who love them Familiarity with veterinary terminology and animal handling (dogs & cats) is a plus This role is an excellent fit for someone who loves being the center of communication, enjoys helping people, and thrives in a lively, animal‑focused environment. We're also looking for someone with a background in medicine or animal medicine, as that experience helps support clear communication, confident client guidance, and a smooth clinical workflow. You'll play a key part in keeping our clinic running efficiently while ensuring every client feels welcomed and cared for.
