F. A. Peabody Company - Receptionist As a Receptionist, you serve as the first point of contact for our customers, visitors, and the general public. You play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional experience while ensuring calls, visitors, payments, and day-to-day administrative needs are handled accurately and efficiently. This position requires strong customer service, communication, organization, and attention to detail while supporting the overall operation of the office. Job Duties and Responsibilities Provides professional and welcoming service to customers, visitors, and the general public. Answers and directs incoming calls and assists with general customer inquiries. Schedules appointments and maintains office calendars. Processes customer payments, receipts, daily cash activity, and deposits. Responds to customer questions and appropriately directs concerns. Maintains accurate files, records, and office documentation. Provides general administrative and office support as needed. Required Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent. Experience Experience in an office, receptionist, administrative, or customer service environment is preferred. Knowledge/Skills Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanor. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to accurately handle payments, cash transactions, and related records. Demonstrates good judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer-facing position. Previous experience with cash handling or payment processing. Experience with, or ability to quickly learn, telephone, scheduling, and customer management systems. Physical Requirements/Work Conditions Performs work primarily in an office setting. Requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. Regularly uses a telephone and other standard office equipment. Frequently reaches with hands and arms and may occasionally be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Regularly lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
