Under the general direction of the ACCOA Board of Directors and the ACCOA policy guidelines, the service provider has the responsibility of maintaining an efficient performance of the duties assigned by the ACCOA Board of Directors and its Executive Director adhering to the personnel policies and procedures of the ACCOA Board of Directors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
( Include but not limited to, the following)
Assure that people calling ACCOA and those visiting in person receive the best service possible
Assist Executive Director/Leadership Team, in-home service and kitchen staff in any way possible
Provide office support services including but not limited to clerical duties, recording, filing, reporting, counting money, spreadsheets and answering phones.
Assist in maintaining a complete calendar of events for the Lincoln Center.
Prepare correspondence as instructed
Seek out and implement activities and events to improve the quality of life of the senior population of Alcona County
Any other duties necessary to accomplish goals of ACCOA.
Refer clients to appropriate department depending on services needed. Know what services are available and be able to explain them to any participant, either by phone or in person
Have a library of directories such as: Local Telephone Directory, Local Community Services Directory, and any other Human Resource Directory which may be needed.
Keep Director and departments informed on all participants (ill, hospitalized, death, etc.)
Any projects assigned by the Executive Director or a Leadership team.
Maintain "My Senior Center" program.
Creation and maintenance of communications and social media presence

General Description:
Must be neat and clean in appearance
Must be friendly and polite
Must be able to lift heavy objects
Must maintain confidentiality of clients
Qualifications:
Minimum high school education or equivalent
Must possess valid driver's license
Must possess reliable transportation with insurance
No felony convictions (State Police Background Check)
Must possess a genuine interest and concern in working with senior citizens and have a confidential and tactful nature.
Must have good communications skill and phone voice
Educational Background:
High school diploma/GED
Training appropriate to qualifications
Two years of experience in an office setting
