Veterinary Receptionist Position Overview Are you passionate about providing a great experience for others? Do you like juggling tasks and working with people throughout the day? Location Tekonsha Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Tekonsha, MI. Tekonsha is conveniently located alongside I-94 and midway between Detroit and Chicago. You can take a quick 30-minute drive to Battle Creek where you can enjoy the zoo, Leila Arboretum, Kingman Museum, and even a casino! Here in Tekonsha, we are a small community with the great outdoors at our fingertips. From boating to hiking, fishing to hunting, there are so many outdoor activities to enjoy! Practice Overview Tekonsha Animal Hospital is currently a two doctor, rural practice that provides high quality medicine with cutting edge technology. We believe in educating our clients while providing top-notch customer service in a fear-free environment. Our practice fosters an environment based on collaboration and team work. We enjoy jokes, laughter, and helping one another to the finish line! What You'll Be Working On Greet clients, answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries Schedule appointments and setup new clients and patients; monitor daily schedule and flow Able to convert cold calls and warm leads into new client visits Responsible for payment processing and ensuring accurate client medical records Exhibit attentiveness, patience and compassion while working with clients and patients in various emotional states Assist in cleaning the clinic, which includes ensuring the reception area is stocked, clean and welcoming Qualifications Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years working in a customer service role required Prior experience in the veterinary industry preferred Working knowledge of standard industry terminology and pet care products Demonstrate critical-thinking and problem-solving skills Highly motivated, with a passion for animals and providing great customer service Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Proficient with computer programs like Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail What's In It For You Simple IRA with match eligibility Health Insurance allowance Paid Time Off eligibility
