Position:
Dispensary Receptionist Schedule:
Wednesday- Saturday, 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Position Summary:
The Dispensary Receptionist is the first point of contact for all guests entering the dispensary. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional environment while ensuring compliance with all state regulations regarding customer identification and entry. The receptionist manages customer check-ins, answers phones, supports daily operations, and provides exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner. Verify customer identification and eligibility to enter the dispensary in accordance with state regulations. Check customers into the point-of-sale system and maintain accurate records. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding products, hours, promotions, and policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area. Assist with customer flow and communicate wait times when necessary. Coordinate with budtenders and management to ensure smooth daily operations. Manage online orders, curbside pickups, or appointment scheduling, if applicable. Monitor lobby activity and ensure compliance with company security procedures. Restock lobby supplies and educational materials as needed. Assist with administrative tasks, filing, and other duties assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous customer service or receptionist experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and phone systems. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct. Must meet all state requirements to work in a cannabis dispensary. Preferred Skills Knowledge of cannabis products and industry regulations. Experience handling cash and customer transactions. Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
