Manchester, PA Position Summary Beshore & Koller Ford is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Cashier/Receptionist to join our team. This position plays an important role in the customer experience, serving as a primary point of contact for customers both in person and by phone and assisting customers as they complete service and other dealership transactions. The Cashier/Receptionist is responsible for processing payments accurately, answering and directing telephone calls, greeting customers, supporting dealership departments with administrative needs, and helping ensure the front office operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is welcoming and customer-focused, highly organized, comfortable handling financial transactions, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service & Reception Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival and determine how best to assist them. Answer incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner. Route calls and messages accurately to the appropriate department or team member. Assist customers with general questions and direct them to Sales, Service, Parts, Finance, or other departments as needed. Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception and cashier area. Cashiering & Payment Processing Process customer payments for service, parts, and other dealership transactions. Accept and accurately process cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and other approved forms of payment. Review repair orders and invoices for accuracy and ensure appropriate documentation is complete before closing transactions. Provide customers with receipts, invoices, keys, and other applicable documentation upon completion of their transaction. Accurately maintain the cash drawer throughout the workday. Balance and reconcile the cash drawer and daily transactions in accordance with dealership procedures. Follow established procedures for refunds, credits, adjustments, deposits, and other financial transactions. Maintain appropriate confidentiality and safeguard customer financial and personal information. Administrative Support Provide general clerical and administrative support to dealership departments as needed. Assist with filing, scanning, copying, data entry, and document organization. Maintain accurate customer and transaction records. Assist with preparing deposits and other basic accounting-related tasks as assigned. Communicate with Service Advisors, Parts personnel, Sales staff, and Accounting to resolve customer billing or transaction questions. Complete other administrative and customer service duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous receptionist, cashier, customer service, administrative, retail, or automotive dealership experience preferred. Experience handling cash and processing customer payments preferred. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Professional and friendly demeanor, both in person and over the phone. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle multiple customers, telephone calls, and administrative responsibilities simultaneously. Basic computer skills and comfort learning dealership management and payment-processing systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling customer and dealership information. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Schedule This position requires availability during dealership business hours and may include evenings and Saturdays.
Typical Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm Physical Requirements The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. The position generally requires prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing, frequent computer and telephone use, and occasional lifting of office materials weighing up to approximately 20-25 pounds.
