Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate bilingual Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at a busy veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners and will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This position requires a love for animals, excellent communication skills, bilingual in Spanish and English, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Duties Ability to translate for Spanish speaking clientele. Greet clients and their pets warmly as they arrive at the clinic, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and general pet care. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail. Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint and handling during examinations or treatments. Provide clients with information on medication administration, animal care, and husbandry practices. Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and veterinarians to facilitate effective communication regarding patient care. Requirements Fluent in Spanish and English. Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Proficient in managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing high-quality care.
