The Tree Trimmer role offers the opportunity to work with a passionate team, focusing on the care and maintenance of coconut and other tropical trees. This position is ideal for individuals who value safety, teamwork, and making a positive impact on the landscapes of Oahu. Responsibilities Trim, prune, and maintain treesespecially coconut treesto promote health, safety, and visual appeal. Safely climb trees using proper equipment and techniques, following industry safety standards at all times. Assess tree health and recommend treatments or removals when necessary. Operate and maintain tools and equipment, including chainsaws, pole pruners, and rigging gear. Work collaboratively with the landscaping team to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain clean and safe work areas, ensuring responsible disposal of debris. Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and guidance on tree care needs. Qualifications Experience as a tree trimmer, with proven ability to climb and trim coconut trees. Knowledge of tree care techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation. Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certification in arboriculture or tree climbing (such as ISA Certified Arborist) is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with Hawaiis native and tropical tree species is preferred. Compensation Competitive hourly wage based on experience, with opportunities for overtime.
