ISA Certified Arborist / Tree Climber BlueOak Outdoor Tonganoxie, KS Full-time | Monday-Friday $28-$38 per hour, based on experience and certifications About the Position BlueOak Outdoor is looking for an experienced Tree Climber and ISA Certified Arborist to help lead and grow our tree-service division throughout the Kansas City metro area. This is a hands-on production position for someone who is comfortable climbing, operating tree equipment, leading a ground crew, and communicating professionally with customers. The ideal candidate takes safety seriously, can evaluate tree health and risk, and knows how to complete tree work efficiently without damaging surrounding homes or landscapes. Responsibilities Perform technical tree climbing using rope-and-saddle and approved climbing systems Prune, trim, reduce, and remove trees safely Perform aerial rescue procedures when necessary Assess tree health, structural concerns, hazards, and recommended treatments Identify common tree diseases, pests, and defects Safely rig and lower limbs around homes, fences, utilities, and landscaping Operate chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, lifts, loaders, and related equipment Conduct jobsite safety briefings and equipment inspections Lead and train ground crew members in safe tree-care practices Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites Communicate job details and recommendations clearly to customers and management Assist with tree-service estimates and job planning when needed Follow

safety practices and accepted arboriculture standards Required Qualifications Current ISA Certified Arborist credential At least three years of professional tree-climbing experience Strong knowledge of pruning, rigging, removals, and tree-risk assessment Ability to safely climb and work at varying heights Ability to operate chainsaws and tree-service equipment Valid driver's license with a dependable driving record Ability to lift at least 75 pounds and work outdoors in changing weather Professional, dependable, and safety-focused Able to communicate effectively with customers and crew members Must pass applicable pre-employment screening Preferred Qualifications ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification—
