Job Description :

We're growing and seeking a motivated Arborist Trainee (entry-level) or Experienced Arborist to join our tight-knit team. Key Responsibilities :
Assist with or lead tree pruning, trimming, cabling, and removals Perform ground work, cleanup, chipping, log handling, and equipment operation (chainsaws, chippers, blowers, loaders, aerial lifts). Conduct tree risk assessments, identify diseases/pests (e.g., Emerald Ash Borer, Hemlock Woolly Adelgid), and recommend care plans. Respond to emergency storm damage work (snow/ice/wind events). Ensure safe, efficient job sites with focus on client properties and landscape protection. Maintain tools, vehicles, and a clean, professional work environment.
Qualifications :
Passion for arboriculture, outdoors, and safety-first mindset. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required). Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb, and work in all Maine weather.
For Experienced Arborist :
Prior tree care experience (climbing/rigging preferred), Maine Arborist License (or willingness to obtain), ISA Certified Arborist a plus.
For Arborist Trainee/Entry-Level :
No prior experience required—we provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and support toward certifications/licenses. Reliable transportation to job sites. Strong communication and teamwork skills (we pride ourselves on great crew dynamics).
