In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently cutting, trimming, and maintaining trees across various landscapes. Your expertise will help enhance urban and rural environments, ensuring safety, health, and aesthetic appeal. Whether you're experienced or eager to grow your knowledge in horticulture and dendrology, this role is perfect for motivated individuals ready to make a tangible impact on the environment. Responsibilities Safely operate chainsaws, bucket trucks, and rigging equipment to cut and remove trees with precision and care. Perform tree trimming, pruning, and shaping to promote healthy growth and improve landscape aesthetics. Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to map and assess tree locations and health status. Conduct plant pruning care to maintain safety standards and support tree vitality. Apply knowledge of dendrology (the study of trees) to identify species, assess health conditions, and determine appropriate care or removal strategies. Assist with rigging procedures for large or hazardous tree removals, ensuring safety for team members and the environment. Maintain all equipment including bucket trucks, chainsaws, and rigging gear; perform routine inspections and troubleshooting. Support ongoing training in horticulture practices, growing experience, and landscape techniques to enhance your skills continuously. Experience Familiarity with using chainsaws, bucket trucks, rigging systems, and other arboricultural tools. Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices such as lawn care and planting techniques. Basic understanding of GIS technology or interest in developing this skill set. Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures when working at heights or with heavy machinery. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for demanding tasks.
Pay:
$12.00 - $20.00 per hour
