Responsibilities Safely climb trees using industry-standard arborist rigging techniques and climbing gear to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks. Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently and securely. Execute tree removal projects with precision, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding landscapes and structures. Apply arborist rigging methods to safely lower large branches or sections of trees during pruning or removal processes. Conduct plant pruning care, including shaping trees for aesthetic appeal and health benefits while adhering to best practices in horticulture. Use chainsaws, hand tools, and other equipment safely for cutting, trimming, and removing tree material. Follow strict safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and health assessments when required. Assist with landscaping, lawn care, and general outdoor maintenance as needed to support overall site aesthetics. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including tree health assessments, rigging plans, and safety inspections. Qualifications Proven experience in outdoor work environments with a focus on arboriculture or related fields such as horticulture or landscaping. Strong knowledge of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, planting, and tree removal techniques. Skilled in arborist rigging techniques for safe handling of large branches or sections of trees during complex removals. Experience operating bucket trucks or aerial lifts safely and effectively. Familiarity with GIS mapping tools is a plus for site documentation purposes. Proficiency with chainsaws, pruning tools, rigging gear, and safety equipment required for climbing operations. Knowledge of safety protocols related to climbing arboriculture to ensure personal safety and team well-being. Growing experience in dendrology (the study of trees) enhances your ability to assess tree health accurately. Good physical condition with the ability to climb trees, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong communication skills for coordinating tasks with team members and following detailed instructions.
