Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Tree Climber to join our dynamic arboriculture team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex tree care operations, including pruning, trimming, and removal, utilizing advanced climbing techniques and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safety, health, and aesthetic appeal of trees across various landscapes. Responsibilities Safely ascend and descend trees using climbing gear, rigging techniques, and safety protocols to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks. Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently and securely. Utilize arborist rigging techniques to dismantle or remove hazardous or unwanted trees with precision. Conduct tree care activities such as planting, pruning, disease assessment, and health maintenance based on horticultural best practices. Apply chainsaws and other power tools safely for cutting branches, limbs, or entire trees while adhering to strict safety standards. Perform land clearing activities including tree removal and stump grinding to prepare sites for landscaping or development projects. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including tree conditions, treatments applied, and safety inspections. Skills Extensive outdoor work experience with a focus on tree climbing, pruning, and removal operations. Proficiency in using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping and planning tree care projects. Strong knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree care principles, and plant pruning care. Skilled in operating bucket trucks and aerial lifts safely for elevated work tasks. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices such as lawn care, landscaping design, and growing experience. Ability to handle chainsaws and other power tools responsibly while following safety protocols. Knowledge of dendrology (the study of trees), horticulture, and general land management principles.
