Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure healthy landscapes and efficient water use. Your expertise will help promote lush, vibrant outdoor spaces while adhering to safety standards and environmental best practices. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems across various outdoor environments. Perform routine maintenance on irrigation equipment to ensure optimal operation and longevity. Adjust sprinkler heads, valves, timers, and controllers to achieve proper coverage and water efficiency. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to coordinate watering schedules and landscape care activities. Identify and diagnose issues related to irrigation systems, including leaks or blockages, and implement effective solutions. Follow safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Maintain detailed records of system inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for reporting purposes. Requirements Proven experience working outdoors in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related fields. Mechanical knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, valves, and related equipment. Familiarity with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, planting, and hardscape installation. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, lawn care equipment, and grounds maintenance machinery safely. Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture practices, pesticide management, and tree care techniques. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose system issues efficiently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred; ability to work in various weather conditions is essential.
