801 Red Horse - EOD Munitions Support Technician

Job Description

Rigid Tactical is seeking an experienced EOD Munitions Support Technician to support the 801 RED HORSE Training Squadron at Tyndall AFB. This role serves as the primary manager for the EOD munitions account and acts as a cornerstone for the unit's safety program execution. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive Explosive Ordnance Disposal expertise and advanced knowledge of Air Force munitions management to ensure 100% accountability, secure storage, and compliant handling of all explosive materials while strictly enforcing ground and explosive safety regulations across all training operations. Employment is contingent upon contract award.

TBD during Interview Qualifications / Requirements Graduate of the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD). Minimum of a prior EOD Senior Badge 8 years of dedicated EOD operational experience. Advanced, demonstrable knowledge in Air Force munitions management regulations, custody accounts, and handling protocols.. Direct familiarity with the EOD Information Management System (EODIMS) Valid Drivers License In-depth familiarity with military ground and explosive safety regulations, inspection frameworks, and safety documentation.
Duties / Responsibilities
Manage the EOD munitions account with strict adherence to 100% accountability, secure storage configurations, and fully compliant handling protocols for all explosive assets. Administer comprehensive ground and explosive safety programs, executing routine audits, safety inspections, and managing incident reporting workflows. Apply Department of the Air Force Manual ( DAFMAN) 91-203 standards and review all supporting safety documentation, including AF Form 55 (Employee Safety and Health Record). Maintain absolute physical security protocols and access controls for the designated explosive storage controlled area. Oversee daily explosive range support operations and directly coordinate upcoming munitions requirements for arriving Conventional Survivability Training Readiness (CSTR) units. Support all unit environmental tracking requirements, including the processing of manifests and required explosive disposal permits.
