Part-Time Dairy Milker - AM or PM Shift Loleta Farms | Worley, ID $19-$24/hour Loleta Farms is a growing, first-generation dairy looking for two dependable part-time milkers to join our team. We are hiring for both a morning and evening milking shift :

AM Shift:

5:00 AM-9:00

AM PM Shift:

4:00 PM-8:00 PM Applicants may apply for either shift. We are especially interested in people who have some flexibility to occasionally cover the opposite shift when needed. This is a hands-on position working closely with our cows every day. We're looking for people who are comfortable around livestock, pay attention to the animals in their care, and take pride in doing things correctly. Previous livestock experience is strongly preferred. Dairy experience is a plus, but not required. We can teach the right person how to milk — we're looking for someone who already understands how to work calmly and confidently around animals. Responsibilities Milk cows efficiently while handling them calmly and respectfully Follow established milking and milk-quality procedures Clean and sanitize the parlor and milking equipment Watch for signs of mastitis, illness, injury or changes in behavior Communicate anything unusual you notice with the herd Maintain a clean and organized work environment Assist with basic cow care as needed Who We're Looking For The right person is: Dependable and punctual Experienced and comfortable around livestock Calm and patient with animals Observant and detail-oriented Able to work independently Physically capable of hands-on farm work Serious about cleanliness and doing things correctly Willing to learn and take feedback Someone we can count on to show up when the cows are waiting Experience with dairy cattle is great, but other hands-on livestock experience counts too — beef cattle, ranching, horses, goats, sheep, 4-H/FFA or similar experience may all be a good fit. Employees who demonstrate reliability, good judgment and strong animal-care skills may have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities involving herd health, fresh cows, calves, breeding and other areas of herd management. This could become a full-time herdsman/woman position to the right person.
