Job Overview Farmers' Market Staff - seasonal greater Boston area, multiple markets + positions We have multiple positions including lead market staff and market support positions. We attend several vibrant farmers' markets in the greater Boston area. Farmers' Market Staffers will meet us at the market and help unload, setup, stock, interface with customers to sell farm products, and pack up. Multiple days of the week / locations (see below).
Medfield:
Sundays, morning - afternoon
Canton:
Sundays, every other week Potentially other Boston area markets as well Please connect with us if interested in working one farmers' market or multiple. Most markets run from June-October, but there are opportunities to work some farmers markets in the winter as well. Additional work at the farm available for the right candidate.
Required:
Must be realiable, comfortable with basic technology (sales are run primarily through tablet), able to work in fast paced environment outside, and lift up to 50 lbs. Farmers' Markets are about fostering community around local agriculture. They are great places to meet people, celebrate the growing season and find good food. Ideal market staff are folks interested in cooking, eating and supporting organic agriculture. Ability to interface with many different types of people is very helpful.
