Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic horticultural team as a Lead Grower, where you will take charge of cultivating high-quality crops in an indoor environment. This pivotal role combines hands-on growing expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring optimal plant health, productivity, and sustainable practices. As a Lead Grower, you will oversee daily operations, and implement innovative cultivation techniques to drive excellence across all stages of crop production. Your passion for gardening and agriculture will help shape a thriving cultivation operation dedicated to quality and efficiency. Duties manage, execute planting, pruning, trimming, and harvesting activities efficiently. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all cultivation processes to maintain consistency and quality. Oversee irrigation management, including the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of irrigation systems to ensure proper water delivery. Monitor crop health through plant identification skills and implement integrated pest management strategies to control pests and diseases effectively. Maintain detailed records of crop growth, pest control measures, and environmental conditions using agricultural environmental control systems. Conduct regular inspections of cultivation areas to ensure optimal conditions for plant growth. Utilize mechanical knowledge and hand tools for routine maintenance of equipment and infrastructure related to crop production. Requirements Proven growing experience in indoor cultivation or similar horticultural environments. Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, agricultural environmental control systems, and crop pest management techniques. Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs), crop production best practices, and integrated pest management protocols. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills using hand tools for equipment maintenance or adjustments. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to irrigation scheduling or fertilizer application. Excellent plant identification skills coupled with an understanding of landscaping principles relevant to agricultural settings. we can also negotiate on site living and living expenses for a slightly lower pay rate
Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
