Cultivation Manager / Master Grower Job Summary We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Medical Marijuana Grower to manage and support cannabis cultivation operations compliant with the Maine Medical Use of Cannabis Program (MMCP) . This role focuses on production, plant care, and environmental system management to produce high-quality medical cannabis. All cultivation activities must align with Maine statutes and Maine Office of Cannabis Policy rules governing medical cannabis cultivation. Must have Registry Identification Card (RIC) or the ability to obtain one. Key Responsibilities Cultivation & Plant Care Cultivate medical cannabis plants through all growth stages: cloning/propagation, veg, flower, harvest, drying & curing. Implement daily feeding, watering, trimming, training, trellising, pest and disease control. Maintain optimal environmental conditions (light, temperature, RH, airflow, CO₂) in grow areas. Ensure all plants are kept within Maine's allowed cultivation limits for medical use (e.g., acreage or plant count as permitted for registered cultivation operations). Compliance & Regulatory Conduct all cultivation within enclosed, secure, locked facilities and maintain appropriate security protocols. Comply with Maine statutes and rules for medical cannabis including cultivation area access restrictions and reporting/disclosure of cultivation locations. Maintain accurate records of plant growth, harvest yields, inputs, and any pest or chemical use according to regulatory requirements. Facility & Equipment Maintenance Sanitize cultivation spaces, tools, and equipment to prevent contamination and ensure plant health. Perform regular maintenance on irrigation systems, lighting, HVAC, and environmental controls. Teamwork & Communication Coordinate with cultivation team members and managers to optimize growth protocols and resolve issues. Communicate status updates and compliance documentation to management and relevant regulatory authorities when required.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of horticulture, greenhouse, or controlled-environment agriculture preferred. Experience with cannabis cultivation strongly preferred.

Preferred:

Previous experience in commercial cannabis cultivation (medical focus a plus). Understanding of Maine's medical marijuana regulations and compliance standards. Strong attention to detail and record keeping skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, lift (up to [insert weight]) and work on feet for extended periods. Comfortable working in warm, humid, and brightly lit grow environments. Compliance & Eligibility Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in Maine. Ability to work in a secure, licensed cannabis facility and pass any required background/security checks.
