May be available for the right candidate Experienced Irrigation Technician Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our landscape maintenance team in Mendota Heights. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in irrigation, landscape water management, and field operations who enjoys working independently, managing a route, and delivering high-quality service to customers. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working outdoors in a hands-on environment. This position also works closely with field crews and the sales team to identify irrigation needs, estimate services, and help ensure work is completed efficiently and to established quality standards. Compensation & Benefits $20.00-$40.00/hour based on qualifications and experience Salary option may be available for the right candidate Additional $34.00/hour for work performed during snow events Irrigation bonus plan available for employees on the salary plan Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) HSA with $400 employer contribution Paid time off Paid holidays Group rates for supplemental insurance through Aflac What You'll Do Manage weekly irrigation workloads and assigned routes to maximize efficiency and quality Perform landscape water management and irrigation-related field work Estimate services and assist the sales team with identifying and selling additional work Work with field crews to communicate expected quality standards and labor-hour goals Follow established safety standards, policies, and procedures Complete required paperwork accurately and on time Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management Remain flexible and responsive to changing schedules and operational needs Participate in snow removal events during the winter months Perform additional duties as needed What We're Looking For Minimum 5 years of experience in Landscape Water Management Operations Valid driver's license required Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone Ability to complete required paperwork daily Ability to take direction, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus High school diploma or equivalent required Associate or bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field is preferred Physical & Work Environment This is a 100% field-based position and requires regular outdoor work.
Candidates must be able to:
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly Walk, stand, kneel, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the workday Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Work around environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, pollen, and chemicals IND1
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
